Aggregator C32

The Aggregator C32 is a high-performance network packet broker that aggregates, filters, duplicates, load balances network traffic to security, monitoring and management tools based on 4000 possible rules. The Aggregator C32 supports OSI Layer 2, Layer 3 and Layer 4 header modifications including stripping, adding, and modifying VLAN tags, MAC addresses, IP addresses and Port numbers.

The high port density, session-aware load balancing, and thousands of filtering rules at the users disposal combine to make the Aggregator C32 a device which can support large amounts of monitoring and security appliances and the unique architecture of the device means that performance is never compromised regardless of complexity and features used.

Main Features of Aggregator C32

Aggregation

The C32 is able to receive traffic from a single or multiple 40/100 Gbps link (s) via the monitoring ports of an inline tapping device. The incoming traffic can be further aggregated to a single or multiple outputs to connect analysers and monitoring tools as required.

In the below example the C32 aggregates up- and downstream traffic of a 100 Gbit link to a single output port for more economical usage of connected traffic probes/analytics systems.

By utilizing the various filtering capabilities of the C32 the user is able to further reduce traffic volume that needs to be processed, thus enabling quicker and more accurate analysis and troubleshooting.

Additionally, incoming traffic can be VLAN-tagged per physical port for easy identification of the original physical port.

Extending the number of 100G interfaces

The Cubro C32 further enhances and extends the capabilities of Cubro´s advanced Network Packet Brokers such as the Omnia120 or the EXA32100A. The straightforward and transparent design of the C32 allows it to extend the 100G port coverage of those solutions. Thus, the combination of the C32 and Omnia is a perfect solution for more advanced use-cases such as keyword or Regex filtering for multiple 100Gbit/s links.
