Cubro has introduced the latest network packet broker, Aggregator C32, a high-performance unit that aggregates, filters, duplicates, and load balances network traffic to security, monitoring, and management tools based on 4000 possible rules. The latest addition to our network packet broker product line allows us to meet the customers’ needs for improving network diagnostics and troubleshooting, reducing network disruption and network tool sprawl, and supporting high-performance networks.
Along with the EX(A)48200 series launched in early 2022, Cubro’s C32 is a good option for existing Cubro users who need to add more 100G ports but don’t need the advanced functionality of an EXA32100A or Omnia.
The Aggregator C32 supports OSI Layer 2, Layer 3, and Layer 4 header modifications including stripping, adding, and modifying VLAN tags, MAC addresses, IP addresses, and Port numbers.
This device replaces our AGG-32100 and offers a cutting-edge solution for environments with high densities of 100G links. The architecture in this unit is a programmable switching fabric that offers unparalleled performance and throughput for extremely high-bandwidth installations.
“The Aggregator C32 is our ‘economy’ network packet broker and is ideal in environments where tools need access to 10G to 100G links and SPAN ports. The flow-based load balancing and the possibility to use thousands of filtering rules makes the Aggregator C32 a perfect choice in high port density environments. The C32, together with our existing Advanced Network Packet Brokers EXA32100A/EXA64100 and Omnia, allows us to cope perfectly with today’s complex monitoring and security applications.”

The use cases of Aggregator C32 include:
The C32 is designed to receive traffic from a single or multiple 40/100 Gbps link (s) via the monitoring ports of an inline tapping device. The incoming traffic can be further aggregated to single or multiple outputs to connect analyzers and monitoring tools as required.
The Aggregator C32 supports up to 4000 parallel running IPv4/IPv6 filters. These filters can be used to redirect a selected part of the incoming traffic to a low bandwidth monitoring tool.
Extending 100G interfaces for “advanced” NPB functions
The Cubro C32 further enhances and extends the capabilities of Cubro´s advanced Network Packet Brokers such as the Omnia120 or the EXA32100A. The straight-forward and transparent design of the C32 allows it to extend the 100G port coverage of those solutions. Thus, the combination of the C32 and Omnia is a perfect solution for more advanced use-cases such as keyword or Regex filtering for multiple 100Gbit/s links.
Cubro Vitrum integration
The Aggregator C32 can be added to the existing Cubro Vitrum platform which allows the user to take advantage of the multiple visibility features like, Topology Discovery, Multi Device Upgrade, Centralised Upgrade and the graphical dashboard to visualze long-time stored port statistics.
