Cubro Establishes Strong Presence at SharkFest’18 Europe
SharkFest'18 Europe was hosted at Imperial Riding School Renaissance Hotel Vienna from 28 Oct until 02 Nov 2018. The event, attended by approximately 160 participants, was organized to support ongoing Wireshark development, to educate and inspire current and future generations of computer science and IT professionals responsible for managing, troubleshooting, diagnosing and securing legacy and modern networks, and to encourage widespread use of the free analysis tool.
The highlight of the event was discovering Wireshark use-enhancing technology from SharkFest sponsors during technology showcase hours. Cubro, one of the angel sponsors, during the event, showcased the most portable network packet broker EX2/EX2+. EX2 Series provides network visibility which is needed to have control of the network traffic. The device can filter, manage, and analyze the network traffic down to the user level. EX2 and EX2+ can effectively tell what is happening in the network, what has an associated impact on the company and the company's productivity. Using this network packet broker (NPB), the user can feed the specific data flow directly into the monitoring tools for an exact analysis of any part of the network.
The event included world-class Wireshark instruction by renowned veteran packet analysts to educate current and future generations of network engineers, network architects, application engineers, network consultants, and other IT professionals in best practices for troubleshooting, securing, analyzing, and maintaining productive, efficient networking infrastructures through use of the Wireshark free, open source analysis tool. The analysts shared use cases and knowledge among members of the Wireshark user and developer communities in a relaxed, informal milieu.
SharkFest'18 was a success and the participants gained knowledge to enrich and evolve the tools to maintain its relevance in ensuring the productivity of modern networks.
